The policy of the Graduate School 85 is to limit the duration of a PhD thesis to three or maximum four years (except for junior doctors for whom 5 years or exceptionally 6 years are accepted).
The Graduate School board examines requests for any additional enrolments. The request must be justified by the student and her/his supervisor and must also be supported by the laboratory director.
To be eligible to defend a PhD thesis, at least one first author contribution accepted for publication is mandatory.
The Graduate School no longer awards distinctions.
